The treatments require maintenance with long-term skin care and sun avoidance for optimum results. Many patients choose botox, micropeels, medium depth peels, micro-dermabrasion and lip augmentation procedures for their lifestyle.
What is microdermabrasion and how does it work?
The term "micro" simply means the treatment is superficial. This is a mechanical abrasion treatment to the skin to optimize pore secretion and remove superficial cells from the skin. Anti-oxidant treatments are added to protect the skin at the time of your treatment. You will need a minimum of six treatments to observe the results. After this time your skin will appear tighter and more youthful. The treatments last for a half hour and you will need sunscreen after you are finished each time to prevent pigmentation.
Why do micropeels work so well?
The micropeels are dilute acid solution applied to the skin in stages. You will not have a mask on your face as with a deeper peel. Rather your skin will exfoliate after several treatments. The peel has a light sting for about five minutes. A moisturizer is added to the end and you need to avoid sun exposure. Once the inflammation from the peel set in, you will notice a pleasant refreshed look to your face. The procedure can be repeated every 7-10 days.
Why use Botox?
Botox is a paralyzing agent that is used in small doses to reduce frown and facial expression lines. The areas in the forehead and crows feet have the best results. Topical anesthesia and ice packs can be used to reduce the discomfort of the injection. The botox takes a week to work and it should last for six months. Since Dr. Narsete has an extensive surgical background, he knows exactly where the muscles are and they are easy for him to inject.
