Over time, breasts may lose their natural elasticity and youthfulness, leaving many women feeling unhappy with the size and shape of their breasts. With a breast lift procedure and the use of an implant you can recreate the firm, “perky” look of the breasts. Denver plastic surgeon Dr.Thomas Narsete has many years of experience and can do both of these procedures for you at the same time
What is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, mastopexy, is performed to improve the position of saggy breasts. Due to pregnancies, aging and weight changes, your breast tissue loses strength and begins to sag. A beast lift involves removing the excess skin and repositioning the breast tissue higher on the chest wall. At the time of your procedure, breast implants are ususally inserted to improve volume and shape. The results of the procedure are firmer, youthful breasts with minimal scarring and pain.
Who is a good candidate for Breast Lift
If you are dissatisfied with the current appearance of your breasts and wish for them to appear higher, fuller, and perkier, you are a good candidate for a breast lift.
Before your Breast Lift
You will start with a professional consultation with Denver plastic surgeon Dr. Thomas Narsete. His consults are a courtesy, and you will love the experience. He will go through a thorough exam and review your photos and explain all the options with you. At the end of the consult, you will know exactly which procedure works for you.
Types of Anesthesia
Dr. Narsete will discuss the type of anesthesia used for this procedure during your consultation and will depend on factors, such as your medical status and your comfort level. A local anesthesia may be used, which will numb the area but leave you awake during the procedure. A general anesthesia may also be considered, which would allow you to sleep comfortably throughout the surgery.
The Breast Lift Procedure
A breast lift or mastopexy is most commonly performed with a technique that includes an anchor-shaped incision that follows the natural curve of the breast. Dr. Narsete can place your incisions in areas where the scar is camouflaged. How long your scar is depends on how much skin is removed.Once the incisions are made, Dr. Narsete will remove the excess tissue and skin, resituate the areola and nipple if necessary, and then pull the skin taut and close the incisions. The final results are seen several months after surgery.
What is the cost of Breast Lift?
A breast lift is considered to be elective, so most insurance providers will not cover the costs. To help make breast lift surgery affordable and accessible for everyone, Dr. Narete offers financing options which can be discussed during your consultation. For your convenience, Dr. Narsete accepts cash and all major credit cards. Financing options via LendingUSA is also available.
